Bocognano fin Juillet 2013 009For the past 25 years, this abstract artist has been painting what is the dearest to him – his native land and roots, and when asked what his projects may be, they remain grounded on his only influence, he has no need for external or alternative elements, he composes with instinct, conviction and total gratification.
A work of art is an image of reflexion through colours and melodies of experience – a correlation of ideas, through a given time, self-projection too, with the chosen object. He underlines the fact that we often have the tendency to vision just the morphology, rather than the contents, and the artist searches a way to immerse the viewer – and to the full extent.

Savoury sensations by which the senses are hailed through gesture, music and persistent floating suggestions. Through shades of harmony, Laurent Bruschini relates with passion and spirit his personal melody

photo-26Corsicans always find their way home, and I believe the example of the talented singer, Laurent Bruschini, speaks for itself too.

Having grown up on the mainland, his growing passion through the years, shaped itself through a steady growth. From his early years, Corsican was always spoken at home, and holidays were naturally spent in his native village too, for Laurent is from Palleca (Palneca) and Sarra di Scoppamena.  His belonging to the Casa di u Populu Corsu continued to forge an identity which was to increase through enthusiasm and character, leading to the co production of an album Nott’é Ghjormi with Di Maghju, at the end of the 90’s. It was in 2000, that he finally decided it was time to return to his native island.

Meeting Rinatu Coti, a musical and linguistic experience

This was an experience I was truly looking forward to. Rinatu Coti, holds a world of knowledge and culture where both Corsican music and language merge and blend. President of an association, Filu d’Amparera in Ajaccio, where both cultures are provided to all, initiated around 10 years ago and growing constantly, where over 100 participants now immerse with attentiveness.

One could say here again, a passion being transmitted with energy and earnest. Collaborators having been Grégory doc Rossi and Migheli Raffaelli, who reintroduced an early instrument the ‘cetera’, (from the cither family), regaining a certain rebirth within Corsican music. These same instruments are produced here on the island, as there are three luthiers.
