Savoury or Sweet Fritters : either way, it’s tasty and easy !

This recipe can be adapted to all types of fritters, (with cheese, vegetables, fruit etc,.)

– 250g flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 2 eggs

– 3 soupspoons olive oil

– 2cl warm water

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 100g sugar


Place (sieved) flour in a bowl. Add salt, baking powder and mix. Make a well in the middle and add the olive oil. Break the eggs into the well, add the warm water and whisk well in order to obtain a smooth pastry without lumps. Cover with a cloth, and leave aside at room temperature, before use.

If you’d prefer a lighter pastry, just add the yokes of the eggs and whites stiffly beaten.

The choice is yours as to what you may prefer as main ingredient, at your leisure.
