What’s the particularity of: Cristinacce

Situated right in the heart of the Regional Nature Reserve, Cristinacce overlooks the Gulf of Porto – a terraced village, with beautiful old granite houses, built in a mountainous and wooded environment. A traditional village with splendid views, and numerous trails for either short walks or hiking trails.

The renovated parish church Santa Maria Assunta, has a stone bell tower dating back to the 19th century, and also has a series of side chapels with beautiful architectural altars. The interior was decorated in 1971, by the artist Raymond Rifflard. From the Allée des Tilleuls, a viewpoint indicator with a panorama of the Gulf of Porto, informs on the origins of the village, and a stone and red granite fountain offers fresh spring water.

On a lower road, and at the entrance to an alternative choice leading to the Hameau du Tasso, an initiation space for discovery and nature has been set up.
Cristinacce is a village renowned for handicrafts, charcuterie, jam, honey, chestnut flour, and certainly well worth your time and energy if you are in that area.
